An allergist, also known as an allergist/immunologist, is a medical specialist focusing on conditions related to the immune system. This system consists of specialized cells, organs, and tissues responsible for fighting off diseases.
Allergists diagnose and treat various immune-related disorders, including:
  • Allergies and allergic conditions: These occur when the immune system reacts excessively to substances you ingest, inhale, or come into contact with.
